About This Role

TD Securities is seeking a Derivatives Execution & Clearing technologist to join our dynamic team in the Global Markets division. As a key player within our organization, the candidate will be a vital resource in the delivery of technology & software solutions used to improve our cleared derivative trading and operational capabilities employed around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance derivative execution & clearing operations aligning with client, business and regulatory needs
2. Work across business and technology to design the optimal infrastructure from a technology solutions approach
3. Analyze and interpret complex data from multiple sources to inform decision-making and strategic investments
4. Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to automate processes and support data analysis
5. Provide insights and recommendations to improve business processes and data quality
6. Participate in the continuous improvement of data management systems and tools

Qualifications:

1. A degree in Computer Science or a related field
2. 5-10 years of professional experience in the financial services industry specifically as a technology architect
3. Strong financial experience with integrated execution and clearing platforms & infrastructure; experience with Futures & Options, Clearing of OTC Derivatives
4. Proficiency in Database like SQL server, oracle and experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, or similar)
5. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
6. Programming experience in Java or other advanced languages
7. Experience with ION applications such as XTP is a plus
8. Assess impact of regulatory changes to technology framework
9. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
10. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
11. Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
