This role supports the Principal in the strategic and operational leadership of the school, with a specific focus on curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, and professional learning.

It is important to note that initially the position will most probably include teaching hours. As we grow the role will evolve and become exclusively the Deputy Principal.

The position is advertised as a three-year appointment beginning January 27th 2026, whereby the position will be re-advertised, with the applicant being able to reapply if needed.

The Opportunity:

  • Champion student wellbeing, child safety and academic excellence, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
  • Engage with our school community, strengthening partnerships with families and parish to enrich the educational experience.
  • Assist the Principal with the day-to-day leadership and management of the school.
  • Act as Principal in their absence as required.
  • Support compliance with policies relating to curriculum, assessment, staff development, and child safety.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A committed Catholic educational leader with a deep understanding of and alignment with the ethos and identity of Catholic education.
  • Proven leadership experience in curriculum development and instructional coaching.

  • Understand and uphold the requirements of the Child Safe Standards and relevant legislative obligations.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of the foundation years at St Padre Pio CPS working towards building a supportive and faith-filled community committed to educational excellence.
