Job summary

The Calgary Police Service seeks a Sworn/Civilian Deputy Chief, Bureau of Service Support, to lead Information Technology, Information Management, and Infrastructure & Fleet Services. You will drive modernization, digital transformation, cybersecurity governance, and capital planning for a large municipal police service.

You will report to the Chief of Police as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, shaping technology and support capabilities that enable operational policing excellence

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressive senior leadership experience.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary portfolios and major transformation initiatives.
• Experience overseeing enterprise technology, digital transformation, infrastructure, facilities or asset management.
• An undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and law enforcement experience; a graduate degree is an asset.
• Must be able to obtain RCMP Top Secret Security Clearance.
• For sworn members, rank of Superintendent or Inspector (minimum).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Bureau of Service Support and provide executive oversight of IT, Information Management & Virtual Policing, Infrastructure & Fleet Services.
• Steer technology modernization, digital platforms, cybersecurity governance and resilience.
• Drive long-term capital planning, facilities modernization and infrastructure continuity.
• Build partnerships with government, academia, industry, and stakeholders to support innovation.
