Job summary

Access Credit Union Limited is hiring a Deposit Service Representative to manage deposits, memberships, and electronic services across the Morden and Manitou locations. The role includes opening accounts, managing estates and term deposits, and handling various registered products.

You will advise members, process documentation, and ensure compliance with policies. You will work with a team to maintain excellent member relations, pursue new business opportunities, and participate in community

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Business Administration or other post-secondary education would be considered an asset.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience.
• Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to identify and willingness to act upon sales and service opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.
• Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of Access Credit Union's products and services.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Open new personal and corporate memberships, accounts, debit cards, credit card applications and assist members with alternate banking channels.
• Administer and process specialized accounts such as estates, term deposits, POA's, and registered products (RRSPs, TFSAs, RESPs, RRIFs, LIFs etc.).
• Communicate terms and conditions clearly to members and ensure products fit risk tolerance.
• Maintain documentation and follow deadlines and Concentra Financial procedures.
• Act as the member contact point for inquiries (Fiserv/Clover POS).
• Support branch sales goals and contribute to a friendly, efficient work environment.
• Differentiate products and services to meet member needs and exist in the community.

Deposit Service Representative

Deposits, Member Accounts & Electronic Services (Self Serve)

Responsible for opening new personal and corporate memberships, accounts, debit cards, credit card applications and assisting members with alternate banking channels. Administer and process specialized accounts such as estates, term deposits, POA's, and registered products (RRSPs, TFSAs, RESPs, RRIFs, LIFs etc.). Communicate to the member all terms and conditions of any product being presented ensuring that the product is within the member's risk tolerance and that all instructions are clearly laid out. Proper documentation must follow within the deadlines given. Administer and process all required reports and documentation in compliance with Concentra Financial's procedures and regulations. Act as the member contact point for Fiserv/Clover(POS Terminal) inquiries. Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to credit union policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention. Observe all credit union policies and security requirements for privacy, safeguarding information, frauds, forgeries and holdup procedures.

Relationship Management

Operates as the primary contact for members, managing the relationships on behalf of the credit union to ensure the members' needs are met and the relationship remains profitable. Pro-actively work to retain and expand existing member relationships, while pursuing new sources of business.

Team Work

Actively participate in regular staff meetings providing input when necessary. Actively participate in meetings, planning and training initiatives, sharing information and ideas to build organizational achievement and success. Provide input into the development of and support the achievement of branch sales goals. Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment. Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve organizational and department objectives.

Business Development & Community Relations

Participate in and contribute to an entrepreneurial environment to seek out new business and referral opportunities that support the branch and organization goals. Pro-actively work to retain and expand existing member relationships, while pursuing new sources of business. Differentiate between credit union and competitor products and services in terms of member needs. Act as an ambassador for the credit union by being visible in the community through professional and personal involvement in various community groups and activities. This position will provide support to both the Morden and Manitou locations. This list is not inclusive and other tasks and/or responsibilities may be assigned by your supervisor.

Essential Qualifications

Employee Sub-Type Regular Starting Salary $46,064.00 Salary Band $46,064.00 - $56,411.00 In most situations, candidates will be offered the starting salary for the position. In exceptional circumstances, and at the organization's discretion, an offer may be made above the stated minimum based on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity and external compensation factors. When underfilling a position, the salary offered may be in a lower salary band.
