Job summary

Sport Chek is seeking a Department Sales Manager of Clothing who thrives on sports and an active lifestyle. You will coach a team, develop staff, and lead merchandising standards while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will build daily sales plans, foster a positive work environment, and communicate through regular huddles and coaching sessions. This role emphasizes leadership, customer focus, and a passion for sports retail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a retail environment, preferably at a supervisory level.
• Proven track record of business growth and exceptional customer service skills.
• Demonstrated interest in or involvement in sports or the sporting goods industry an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop your department team by setting expectations, keeping open lines of communication, coaching on a continual basis, providing constructive feedback, and ongoing support.
• Build and manage a daily game and sales plan for the department.
• Develop development plans for full-time staff – providing support and coaching to improve performance gaps.
