Department Sales Manager (Product)

Responsibilities:
- Execute PHL’s Brand Purpose to the highest capability.
- Manage all promo and pricing standards.
- Build and oversee product flow, merchandising plans, and presentation standards.
- Protect Company Assets.
- Uphold all Company & Business Compliance expectations.
- Become a Community Ambassador partnering with local MHA’s.
- Manage capacity and change management initiatives.
Customer Service:
- Champion and deliver Pro Hockey Life’s Customer Experience Model.
- Ensure the store layout is accessible and easily shoppable.
- Implement and maintain pricing and promotion strategies.
- Ensure staff onboarding meets company standards.
- Promote Canadian Tire’s Triangle Rewards Program.
- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to store teams.
Store Operations:
- Ensure visual compliance, store maintenance, and pricing standards are met.
- Utilize store initiatives and directives effectively.
- Plan and execute weekly price changes and department POPs.
- Maintain efficient product flow from warehouse to sales floor.
- Conduct weekly price sweeps and audits for compliance.
- Ensure adherence to LP, Cash, Store Audit, and OH&S policies.
Training:
- Coach and develop store staff through setting expectations, coaching, and support.
- Follow up on weekly store plans.
- Create development plans and conduct annual appraisals for part-time staff.
- Lead effective team meetings and coaching sessions.
- Ensure staff understand department standards and customer resolution procedures.
Leadership:
- Motivate team through recognition, contests, and community engagement.
- Maintain performance management standards, including coaching and discipline.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment.
- Mentor teams and support continuous growth.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Ability to manage store execution plans.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Understanding of compliance management.
- Strong training and coaching skills.
- Energetic and driven to succeed.
- Retail management experience is an asset.
