Department Chief of Oncology and Medical Director, Durham Regional Cancer Centre
Lakeridge Health, serving a broad region with multiple hospitals and specialized services, is seeking a Department Chief of Oncology and Medical Director for the Durham Regional Cancer Centre. This role involves clinical, operational, academic, and strategic leadership within a comprehensive regional cancer program.
The position reports to the Chief of Staff and is responsible for overseeing the quality of care, professional practice, and academic development of the Department of Oncology. It involves co-managing the Cancer Centre in partnership with the Clinical Director, utilizing a dyad leadership model, and aligning with the Quadruple Aim framework for health system redesign.
The ideal candidate will be a distinguished clinician and leader, capable of fostering collaboration, promoting the department’s mission and vision, and advancing research and education initiatives. Prior experience in developing oncology education and research programs is highly desirable.
