Harbourside Dental has been serving the community of North Sydney for many years. Located on the main street in North Sydney, our office is in an accessible location and we are a dedicated patient-based clinic. We pride ourselves on providing optimal patient care to our patients and their families in a friendly and caring environment.

Dr. Meaghan Petite along with their Dental Assistant offer comprehensive dental services, from emergency treatment, general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and full smile makeovers. We have a talented team of Dental Hygienists that work closely with our Dr. Petite to provide you with excellent care, provide oral cancer and periodontal screening to assist you with understanding your oral

health.

Being part of the Mayflower Dental Group, with 6 locations in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality – we are able to provide a solid internal patient referral program, dental hygiene program, excellent support system for expanding your skill set and the opportunity to learn among a very talented group of Dental Professionals. We use the most up to date equipment and technologies within our group of clinics. Our teams work together to ensure that our patients receive a positive experience when they visit the clinic from check in to check out. This is reflective of our 5-star rating on Google Reviews.

This position is full-time, with no evenings or weekends. Assisting our employees create good Work/Life balance is extremely important to Mayflower Dental Group. The ability to accept additional hours is available within our Mayflower Dental Group network of clinics. Monday - Thursday 7:45 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
  • Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
  • Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
  • Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour.


About You:

  • Completed Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree is required
  • Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with provincial licensing is required
  • Valid CPR certification
