Job summary

Eckhardt Dental Centre in Penticton, BC, is hiring a part-time Dental Hygienist to serve the communities of Penticton, Summerland and Okanagan Falls. You’ll work with advanced digital imaging and modern tools to deliver preventive care and patient education.

The role offers 1–2 days per week with compensation between $55 and $58 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and location, plus a comprehensive rewards package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or degree is required.
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing.
• Valid CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care.
• Perform prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing and whitening procedures.
• Educate patients on preventive techniques and oral health lifestyle choices.
• Establish and maintain patient loyalty with ethical and professional conduct.

The wage for this Dental Hygienist position is $55-$58/hour depending on skills, eexperience, and location.

Your Role:

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
• Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
• Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour

About You:

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory body is required
• Valid CPR certification is required
