Clayton Park Dental in Halifax is seeking a qualified Dental Hygienist to join our friendly team. You will deliver preventive hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and contribute to a tailored, compassionate patient experience.

We offer a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (extended Wednesdays to 6:00 PM), a supportive work environment, competitive pay, uniform allowance, sick days, paid vacation, RRSP matching, and access to our EAP.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required.
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory body is required.
• Valid CPR certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
• Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, sealants and whitening
• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
• Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations

Schedule: Full-time 4 or 5 day work week no evenings or weekends Clinic hours are Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00PM, with the exception of Wednesday's we are open until 6:00 PM.

Your Role

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
• Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
• Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour

About You

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory body is required
• Valid CPR certification is required
