Job description

Our client, a very busyoral surgeon,seeks an experiencedfull-timeNDAEB Certified Level II Dental Assistant.

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Level II Dental Assistant
  • MUST be Harp certified
  • Prefer 2 years of experience

LOCATION:Yonge & Eglinton

HOURS:(1st week, Tues, Weds, Thurs, Fri & 2nd week Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs)
  • Mon (alternating) 8:30-5
  • Tues to Thurs 8:30 - 5:00
  • Friday 8:30-3:00 (alternating) -If DA can do ordering they can work every Friday if they want

COMPENSATION: $25-$30+

SOFTWARE USED:
  • Tracker

JOB OVERVIEW:
  • Assisting dentist with oral surgery, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, removal of damaged teeth etc.
  • Preparing patients, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays and preparing materials
  • Taking x-rays of patients' teethand exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
  • Using suction and swabs to keeppatients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
  • Questioning patients about their medical history and recording theinformation for dentist's reference
  • Advising patients on dental care, oralhygiene and plaque control programs
  • Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before,during and after dental treatment
  • Occasionally answering the phone when needed and use Tracker software system
