Job description

Our client is looking for a full-time Dental Assistant.

Position/Job requirement

• Dental Assistant with Level II Diploma
• Experience preferred
• Moderate to strong command of the English language, both spoken and written

Job Overview

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments and materials
• Sterilize instruments
• Assist the general dentist with crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, dental implants, Invisalign, teeth whitening, fillings, extractions, and mouthguards
• Take digital x-rays of patients' teeth
• Use suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
• Take preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
• Apply pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Question patients about their medical history and record the information for the dentist's reference

Hours: Monday to Thursday 9-5, Friday 9-1/2

Location: Bay/Bloor (above Bay subway)

Compensation: $28+ TBD depending on experience and performance
