Job description

Jade Dental is a modern, patient-centered dental clinic located in the heart of Chinatown, Ottawa. We take pride in offering high-quality, compassionate care in a warm and welcoming environment. Our team is professional, friendly, and committed to making each patient feel comfortable and cared for.

We are currently seeking a Certified Dental Assistant (Level II) to join our dynamic and supportive dental team. If you're enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care, we’d love to hear from you. We value professionalism, team spirit, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of procedures
  • Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Assist with impressions, polishings, sealants, and other intraoral procedures
  • Sterilize instruments and ensure operatory cleanliness
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with public health standards
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
  • Occasionally assist with front desk or reception duties as needed
  • Contribute positively to a supportive, team-based clinic culture

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Level II Dental Assistant in Ontario
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, reliable, and compassionate with patients
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Assets (Good to have):

  • Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is a strong asset due to our location in Ottawa’s Chinatown and the diverse patient population we serve
  • Previous experience with dental software such as ABELDent and DEXIS
  • Valid CPR certification
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning

Job Type:

Full-time or Part-time

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

(Flexible scheduling may be considered)

Pay: $60,600.00-$71,000.00 per year
