Job description

Our client in Maple is looking for a full-time Level I or II Dental Assistant. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player dedicated to patient care. This office offers health benefits!

Position/Job Requirements:

• Level I or II Dental Assistant
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience

Location:

Jane/Major MacKenzie (Free Parking)

Hours:

• Monday: 10am - 7pm, with one evening 11am - 8pm per month
• Tuesday: 10am - 7pm
• Wednesday & Thursday: 9am - 5pm
• Friday: Closed
• Alternating Saturday: 8:30am - 2:30pm; none in summer & long weekends
• Open end of September to mid-May

Compensation:

• $28-$31+ depending on experience and performance

Job Overview:

• Assist the dentist during procedures, handing instruments and materials
• Sterilize instruments
• Assist with restorations such as crowns, bridges, veneers, fillings, extractions, root canals, implants, Invisalign, etc.
• Place and remove rubber dams
• Take and expose dental X-rays
• Use suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry
• Take preliminary impressions for study models
• Apply pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Record medical histories and relevant information
• Advise patients on dental care and hygiene
• Ensure patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment
