Job description

Our client is looking for a full-time experienced Dental Assistant Level II near Bloor West area.

There are multiple full-time assistants on staff as this office is a large multi-disciplinary practice.

Position/Job Requirements

  • Must have Level II Diploma
  • Must have NDAEB certification
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Familiarity with Orthodontics and Periodontics is an asset
  • Dentrix knowledge is an asset
  • Moderate to strong command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Maintain up-to-date CPR certification (training provided by the office)

Job Overview

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
  • Assist the dentist during procedures, including handing instruments and materials
  • Sterilize instruments
  • Assist General Dentist, Periodontist, and Orthodontist (training provided)
  • Assist with crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, dental implants, Invisalign, teeth whitening, fillings, extractions, and mouthguards
  • Placement and removal of rubber dams
  • Take and expose dental X-rays
  • Keep patients' mouths clear and dry using suction and swabs during procedures
  • Take preliminary impressions for study models
  • Apply pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
  • Record medical histories and relevant information for the dentist
  • Advise patients on dental care and oral hygiene
  • Join a team of 3 full-time and 1 part-time CDA
  • Ensure patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment

Hours: All shifts include a mandatory break

  • Monday: 8:30-5:30
  • Tuesday: 10:30-7:30
  • Wednesday: 8:30-5:30
  • Thursday: 10:30-7:30
  • Friday: 8:30-5:30 (early leave if working Saturday)
  • Saturday: 8:30-2:30 (rotation)

Location:

  • Bloor St West / Roncevalles (Free street parking available)

Compensation:

  • $25+ depending on experience and performance
  • Basic dental coverage for employee, spouse, and children after three months
