Job summary

Family Dental Care – College Heights, part of the Dentalcorp family, is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our respected team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take dental X-rays, ensure IPAC standards, and support patient education and chair-side workflows.

We offer competitive hourly wages, 30-40 hours per week, and a caring environment focused on patient care, professional development, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
