Job summary

A dental practice in Toronto is seeking an experienced Level I or II Dental Assistant for a full-time role. Candidates must be HARP certified with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The position involves assisting during procedures, sterilizing instruments, and providing patient care. Working hours include shifts from Monday to Friday across two locations, and compensation will be based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials.
  • Sterilizing instruments.
  • Assisting dentist with restoration, extractions, fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, endo, root canals.
  • Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays.
  • Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures.
  • Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models.
  • Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics.
  • Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference.
  • Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
  • Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.

Our client in Scarborough is looking for and experienced Level I or Level II Dental Assistant full-time. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player who is dedicated to patient care.

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • ExperiencedDental Assistant
  • Must be HARP Certified
  • Must have minimum of 3+yearof experience
LOCATION: Toronto @ Don Mills/Lawrence (free parking)

HOURS:
  • Monday (12-8)
  • Tuesday (8-3 at Scarborough location Kennedy/Eglinton)
  • Wednesday (8-5)
  • Thursday (8-5)
  • Friday (8-2)
COMPENSATION:
  • TBD depending on experience and performance
