Job description

Dental office is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys assisting a Cosmetic Dentist.

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced Dental Assistant
• Minimum of 1+ year of experience

LOCATION:

Mississauga Rd/Argentia Rd

HOURS:

• Tues 11-7
• Weds 9-6
• Thurs 10-8
• Alternating Fri 9-6
• Alternating Sat 9-4

COMPENSATION:

• $25-32 depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

• Assisting the dentist during dental procedures, including handing instruments and materials
• Assisting with crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, fillings, extractions, teeth whitening, and mouthguards
• Good at explaining treatments
• Good typing skills
• Placement and removal of rubber dams
• Taking and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry
• Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
• Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Questioning patients about medical history and recording information
• Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene, and plaque control
• Making patients comfortable before, during, and after treatment
