Dental office in Georgetown is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant.

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced Dental Assistant
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience
• Abeldent knowledge/experience an asset

LOCATION: Georgetown

HOURS: Ideally work 1 or 2 evenings, but flexible - finish usually by 6:30/7

• Mon (8-5)
• Tues (8-7)
• Wed (8-7)
• Thurs (8-7)
• Fri (8-2)

COMPENSATION:

• $25-$30 depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

• Assisting dentist during dental procedures, including handing instruments and materials
• Sterilizing instruments
• Assisting with crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, dental implants, Invisalign, teeth whitening, fillings, extractions, and mouthguards
• Placement and removal of rubber dams
• Taking and exposing dental X-rays
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry
• Taking preliminary impressions for study models
• Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Questioning patients about medical history and recording information for dentist
• Advising patients on dental care and oral hygiene
• Making patients comfortable before, during, and after procedures
