Job description

Botpress is the AI agent platform for customer support. We build AI agents that resolve tickets instead of just answering them, for support teams carrying real conversation volume. Our mission is to make AI work for the people doing the work.

About the Role

We are anchoring on a sales-led motion, and this role makes it repeatable. The most important problem in the company right now is building pipeline with new accounts that fit. You will own the marketing half of it: demand for larger accounts, up to enterprise, through experimentation and a multi-channel approach. We'll be honest about the stage. The product can do a lot, we know who we're for, and we're still learning which channels bring those people in predictably. You'll have a few channels to run with some predictability and a handful of experiments at any time. You'll be expected to stop what doesn't work, and to say so early.

Responsibilities

Events: private invite-only events, and how we show up around the big industry conferences (our own dinners and rooms alongside them). Marketing leads, Sales brings the people in the room. You will have resources to help execute, but you own and lead the vision: where we show up, why, and who we want at the table. Direct mail and gifting ABM programs: the plays against the named-account list, from first touch to the hand-off into Sales Paid media, through our agency or in house, on a small budget that has to prove itself one play at a time in order to scale The marketing inputs to our outbound engine: targeting, segments, messaging and the content the sequences use. You own the list and the outreach alongside our team of BDRs. The acquisition experiment portfolio: what we test, in what order, and what we learn The agencies and vendors behind these channels: the brief, the budget, and the call to keep, cut or bring in-house Your first 90 days Improve our paid ads impact Launch an invite-only / in person AI workshop for target accounts Experiment with a direct mail campaign Make the keep-or-bring-in-house call on our outbound vendor Build the first ABM plays against the named-account list, with the CRO and Sales Get the podcast, the events and the outbound list working as one multi-threaded motion, so a good-fit account hears from us more than once Curious, and able to step back. You follow threads: why, what would prove it, what is the smallest way to test it. You can reflect strategically and form a point of view. Then you ship the experiment anyway. High follow-through. You are a doer. Things you start get finished, and you close the loop without being chased. A doer who delegates. You cover more ground by handing work to agencies, freelancers, agents and teammates, and by briefing them well. 80/20 by instinct. You find the few things with the biggest impact and start there. More is not better. We test the minimum viable version of a play before we invest in the full one. Deep in one channel, willing to wing the others. Maybe you are a paid expert. You will still need to build an event play and a direct mail play from scratch, and we want someone who is happy to. You lean on AI heavily. It is the motto of the team and the company, and it is part of the interview. Tell us how you would enhance the team with your AI thinking, processes and agents. If you don't lean on it heavily, this role isn't for you. Evidence and instinct, in balance. You read the numbers, and you also trust your read of a room, an account, a message. You can say which one you used and why. Intellectual humility. You are quick to say \"I was wrong, here is what changed my mind.\" We will ask you about a failure you are genuinely proud of, and about something you built that you are slightly embarrassed by.

The team you’d join

A small, senior, hands-on marketing team. Growth and product-led growth, SEO and AEO and content, brand and design, and product marketing. Paid and outbound run through agencies you will manage. The team scales with AI, not headcount, by design: people build their own skills and agents on our own platform, and every other week we run a Marketing AI Open Hour where someone shows what they built. You would be joining people who ship, and who expect you to show your own work too.

Why join this team

You report to the VP Growth/Marketing, who gives a lot of feedback and builds it into the job: a monthly reflection 1:1, a coaching check-in every two months, and feedback that is specific, early and visible. We move fast and there is no ego. We take 100% responsibility for outcomes, with curiosity instead of blame. We use evidence and instinct, and we try AI before we add people. You get the chance to build the acquisition engine for a sales-led motion, not inherit one.

Who you work with

Day to day you work with the CRO and the sales team. You also work with our partner lead, our design lead, and the agencies you manage. The BDR team sits in Sales, and you own the list and the outreach alongside them.
