As a Delivery & Warehouse Coordinator, you will be giving leadership and direction to Delivery Drivers, Helpers & Warehouse team members in providing our valued customers with great in-home delivery service experience!

This position requires strong organizational & communication skills, excellent time & people management abilities to maintain a positive and productive team-orientated approach in a fast-paced constantly changing work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure company standards for in-home delivery & fleet services are always maintained.
  • Recruit, hire and develop staff through training, goal setting & coaching and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Assist in the department planning, including daily operations to maximize resources and equipment utilization.
  • Conduct daily scheduling, routing and delivery load planning functions.
  • Inventory management
  • Actively participate in property & product damage control processes and initiatives.
  • Administer investigations pertaining to workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, product or property damages and load & delivery discrepancy reports.
  • Conduct delivery team load-out and returns check-in processes.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all company Health & Safety programs, policies & procedures as necessary.
  • Assist in managing vehicle & equipment maintenance programs & processes.
  • Assist in managing Ottawa warehouse functions & processes as required.
  • Assist in planning & communication with Store & Distribution teams.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement in all aspects of the business and take appropriate action.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant post-secondary an asset.
  • Work experience in an in-home delivery/warehouse. environment, or retail store warehouse, delivery or customer service depts would be an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to remain focused and work under pressure to meet deadline requirements.
  • Customer Service focused.
  • Strong desire to take ownership and accountability of task completion.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and Outlook, would be considered a definite asset.
