Job summary

7-Eleven Nanaimo is hiring a Full-time Delivery Truck Driver with a valid Class 1, 3 or 5 license to operate in the Nanaimo, BC area. You will load, transport and deliver to stores along designated routes, perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain strong customer relationships.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of commercial driving, a satisfactory driver abstract, safety footwear, and the ability to pass a criminal record check.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1, 3 or 5 License.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Recent and satisfactory driver abstract.
• Safety shoes (steel-toed boots).
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
• Proof of SIN upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic trucks with power tailgate/railgate for direct store delivery.
• Load trucks in the warehouse before departure.
• Conduct safe and efficient deliveries and pickups following designated routes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers on each route to address their needs.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Assist with product and warehouse security.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
