Job summary

Summit GM in Fort McMurray, Alberta, is seeking a Delivery Specialist to maintain the dealership’s lot, organize vehicle inventory, and support daily operations. This hands-on, outdoors role rewards reliability, detail, and teamwork.

You’ll move vehicles between areas, assist with staging for test drives and events, inspect arrivals, and help with safety and OEM standards. A high school diploma is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in automotive lot operations is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to handle a physically active role.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain the dealership lot by arranging vehicles safely.
  • Move vehicles between the lot, service department, detail bay, and showroom.
  • Inspect incoming vehicles for damage and ensure they are clean, fueled, and ready for display.
  • Assist with vehicle staging for customer test drives, sales appointments, and dealership events.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the lot, including snow removal from vehicles, cleaning windshields, and ensuring overall curb appeal.
  • Support the sales team by delivering vehicles for customer presentations or delivery appointments.
  • Install dealer plates, window stickers, hangtags, and other merchandising materials on vehicles.
  • Conduct regular lot checks to verify vehicle locations and report discrepancies.
  • Assist with transporting vehicles to and from offsite locations as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to all dealership safety guidelines and OEM standards.
  • All other duties as assigned by leadership.

Overview

Position Summary

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the dealership’s vehicle inventory. This role supports daily lot operations by arranging vehicles, assisting with vehicle movement, performing basic inspections, and ensuring the dealership’s outdoor and indoor display areas meet OEM and dealership standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast‑paced dealership environment.
