CLASS 3Q DELIVERY MATERIAL HANDLERS

CLASS 1 DELIVERY MATERIAL HANDLERS

(Full-time, permanent)

Delivery Material Handlers work in teams and are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, unloading, and placement of building materials onto customer sites including residential, commercial, and industrial building construction sites in Calgary and surrounding areas.

DUTIES

• Deliver, unload, and place building materials in a timely and safe manner according to customer specifications.
• Operate remote-controlled picker cranes, rough terrain forklifts, and conveyors.
• Drive 4/5 axle trucks with tridem pup trailers to jobsites (up to 8 axles) - depending on license classification.
• Hoist building materials.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract (no more than 2 minor violations).
• Previous experience driving delivery trucks and operating other machinery.
• Ability to work at heights (residential rooftop deliveries).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and for extended periods of time.
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, carry, and lift heavy, bulky items.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Must provide a satisfactory criminal record check.
