Job Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse team of global software developers, testers and operations engineers
• Oversee solution delivery from planning to deployment, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
• Set clear direction and vision, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in the development, deployment, and operation of distributed systems.
• Manage and prioritize a backlog of tasks and tickets across multiple teams.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve performance, security, and reliability.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders through presentations, documentation, and regular updates.
• Promote best practices in software engineering, infrastructure management, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and support cross-functional teams in resolving issues.
• Contribute to strategic planning and provide input into long-term technology roadmaps.

Required Core Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development and/or technology infrastructure and operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects and deliver results on time.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, presentation, documentation, troubleshooting and collaborative problem-solving skills
• Broad understanding of the technologies used to build, deploy and operate distributed application systems
• Fast learner with a passion for emerging technologies.
• Positive, “can-do” attitude with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
• Collaborative, results-oriented leadership style with a hands-on approach.
• Motivated by solving complex business and technical challenges in a fast-moving environment.
• You must be located in Toronto and eligible to work in Canada to be considered for this role

Nice to Have:

• Start up experience
• Experience in the financial services industry or working with financial data/systems
• Experience working with SaaS products
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or Azure
• Worked in high growth scale up environments
