Job description

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead and facilitate Agile delivery for complex technology initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project execution from initiation through release, ensuring adherence to Agile principles, removing delivery impediments, managing risks and dependencies, and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams and stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership without direct authority, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and facilitate complex or multiple medium-complexity Agile initiatives from project initiation through release and deployment.
• Ensure alignment with Agile delivery practices, including project kick-offs, sprint planning, release planning, retrospectives, and deployment activities.
• Partner with delivery teams and stakeholders to achieve release objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes that meet business expectations.
• Identify, track, and proactively remove impediments to ensure successful and timely delivery.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, governance requirements, operational planning activities, and vendor relationships.

What you need to have to be considered

• 4-5 years of experience as a Delivery Manager, or Agile Project Manager.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in software development, project management, business analysis, or related technology delivery roles.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, project management principles, and delivery governance.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
• Experience managing project risks, dependencies, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications.
• Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Figma.

These will help you stand out

• Certified Advanced Scrum Master (A-CSM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience working within large enterprise environments and governance frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud-based delivery initiatives and enterprise technology transformation programmes.

Total compensation

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 71100- CAD 112000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
