Job summary

WORLDPAC Canada is seeking a full-time Delivery Driver/Warehouse team member in Victoria, BC. This entry-level position supports inventory processes, packing, and delivery of auto parts to our commercial customers.

You will drive a company truck on established routes, collect payments or pickups, and assist in warehouse operations, while maintaining safety and accuracy in records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ class G or class 5 driving experience required.
• Must maintain a clean driver's abstract.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Available Monday to Friday; full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Drive company truck on established routes to deliver products and pickups as needed.
• Collect customer accounts and perform approved deliveries or pickups.
• Fulfills shipping and receiving in the warehouse and prepares merchandise for storage or distribution.
• May use computer to enter records, locate items, and generate delivery manifests.
• Adheres to safety rules and applicable laws.

About the Position:

This is an entry-level operations position supporting the inventory processes in the branch such as picking and packing and delivery of auto parts to our valued commercial customers.

Our Delivery Driver/Warehouse Team Members are responsible for:

• Under general supervision this position drives a company truck or automobile over an established route(s) to deliver products and/or picks up returned merchandise(based on operational need);
• Responsibility for collecting customer accounts and making approved pickups or deliveries;
• Fulfills shipping and receiving functions within the warehouse -sorts, organizes and prepares merchandise from receiving or the production areas to storage or to other designated areas, by part and quantity; Accurately interprets various warehouse documents to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed;
• May use computer to enter, maintain, locate and create records, dispatch, confirm customer or stock orders and to generate delivery manifests and receiving documents;
• Follows all safety rules and applicable laws

What you bring to the team:

• Minimum 3 years’ class G or class 5 driving experience required;
• Must maintain a clean driver's abstract and immediately notify management of any change in its status;
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs;
• Maintains a professional appearance and follows the customer service philosophy of the Company;
• Flexible! – You must be available Monday to Friday; Full time position.

Education: High School Diploma/GED.

Nice-to-Have Skills (but not required):

• Familiarity with automotive parts.

Physical/Work Environment Expectations:

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to high places, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is generally high (loud).
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, and listen. The team member is frequently required to stoop, kneel, and crouch and occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. The team member must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Worldpac expects to pay a base salary in the range provided on this job posting. Generally, we look to bring in candidates around the 50th percentile of the advertised range. However, this is never a guarantee. Within the range, individual pay will be determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
