Delivery Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The responsibilities include:

  1. Follow set, scheduled routes for daily deliveries.
  2. Read maps or set GPS to determine and track daily routes.
  3. Ensure timely delivery of products.
  4. Load and organize inventory from the warehouse into the vehicle and unload as needed.
  5. Verify inventory matches the shipping manifest.
  6. Confirm delivery by scanning or writing in delivery records upon arrival.
  7. Collect signatures and payments at delivery sites.
  8. Deliver goods to locations specified by clients.
  9. Coordinate with the warehouse on delivery progress.
  10. Maintain and submit all delivery paperwork at the end of each shift.
  11. Report accidents or vehicle issues to supervisors.
  12. Adhere to road rules and safety regulations.
  13. Follow all safety procedures for loading and unloading.
About You
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical.
  • Experience driving and parking large vehicles.
  • Physically capable of lifting 25 pounds comfortably.
  • Experience with hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is a plus.
  • Professional, dependable, and customer-oriented.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
