At National Seating & Mobility (NSM), we provide complex rehabilitation seating, mobility, and positioning systems. With a dedicated network of professionals across Canada, we specialize in delivering personalized mobility solutions that enhance independence, safety, and comfort for our clients. Our mission is to empower individuals of all ages with mobility challenges, offering reassurance to families and caregivers while providing exceptional clinical support to therapists and healthcare professionals.

We are looking for a Delivery Driver to join our sales team and help us continue our mission of transforming lives through mobility solutions.

Scope

The Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of medical equipment to various branches, medical facilities, or customer residences. The driver is responsible for transporting medical equipment safely, maintaining delivery schedules, and providing exceptional customer service.

Role and Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  1. Out-of-store delivery, pick-up orders from local suppliers, recycling/dump runs, etc.
  2. Load and unload equipment to and from the warehouse.
  3. Provide safe delivery of company products to customer residences.
  4. Pickup of equipment from customer residences.
  5. Communicate with customers professionally, providing delivery updates, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns promptly.
  6. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including invoices, receipts, and delivery confirmation signatures.
  7. Perform small repairs and adjustments to equipment or coordinate repairs with technicians.
  8. Assist in cleaning and disinfection of rental and demonstration equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.).
  9. Return equipment to the proper position in the warehouse.
  10. Assist other technicians with their duties, including delivering equipment and assisting with repairs.
  11. Ensure the warehouse is maintained in an orderly fashion, with all inventory properly cleaned and stored.
  12. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling and storage of medical equipment during transportation.

Competencies / Skills

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform manual labor.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing schedules and priorities.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools.
