Job summary

PGW Auto Glass is seeking a dedicated Warehouse/Delivery Driver to operate a company vehicle and deliver products to customers in the Pickering, Ontario area. The role involves loading the truck, verifying paperwork, and ensuring safe handling of parts.

You will deliver orders, obtain customer signatures and payments, and maintain accurate manifests. COD payments may be required, and all duties must comply with DOT procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

• Requires an excellent driving record.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
• DOT regulations and driver logs knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Company vehicle to deliver products to customers.
• Physically load Company truck at the branch and verify truck, manifest and delivery paperwork.
• Lift 50–75 lbs on a regular basis and handle loads safely.
• Deliver to customer, confirm order, unload, obtain signature and payment.
• Make notations on the manifest and provide receipts for returns.
• Pick up buy out purchase orders from vendors and deliver parts to branch or customer.
• Collect COD payments as necessary.
• Work to prevent shortages and damage to products.
• Comply with company policies and procedures; other duties as assigned.
• Subject to DOT procedures and driver logs; drivers over 10,001 lbs.

Job description

As a part of our growth, PGW Auto Glass, a leader in the Auto Glass industry with over 100 years experience, is looking for a dedicated and passionate Warehouse/Delivery Driver. PGW has over 100 warehouses throughout the United States and Canada. The Delivery Driver must have an excellent driving record. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for operating a Company vehicle to deliver products to customers. PGW offers competitive pay, matching 401K, medical, vision, dental, and PTO.

• Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner.
• Physically loads Company truck at the branch and verifies the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Drives to the delivery destination, confirms order with customer, unloads and verifies product, obtains confirmation signature and payment from customer.
• Makes proper notations on the manifest and provides receipts on parts being returned from customers to the branch.
• Picks up buy out purchase orders from vendors on vendor "fill in" purchase orders and delivers parts back to the branch or customer.
• Collects COD payments, as necessary.
• Works in such a manner as to prevent shortages and damage to products.
• Complies with established Company policies and procedures.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.
• Subject to DOT Procedures - driver logs, unexpired medical card, etc.
