Your role and responsibilities

As a Technical Delivery Consultant, you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills such as problem-solving, issue- / hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. You will collaborate with clients to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Solving Client Challenges Effectively: Understanding clients' main challenges and developing solutions that help them reach true business value through design, development, integration, implementation, migration, and product support with a sense of urgency.
2. Agile Planning and Execution: Creating and executing agile plans for installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and managing day-two operations.
3. Technical Solution Workshops: Conducting and participating in technical solution workshops.
4. Building Effective Relationships: Developing successful relationships at all levels, from engineers to CxOs, navigating challenging debates to reach healthy resolutions.
5. Self-Motivated Problem Solver: Demonstrating curiosity, initiative, and the ability to analyze data and people to find answers and present solutions.
6. Collaboration and Communication: Working effectively across client, partner, and IBM teams.

IBM is seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Delivery Consultant to work directly with customer accounts, customizing, extending, and deploying IBM Verify Customer Identity, IBM Verify Workforce Identity, and IBM Verify Identity Privileged Identity software in customer environments.

The role involves providing expert guidance, implementation, and support for IBM Verify solutions, with a focus on Identity Access Management (IAM). The candidate will have expertise in software and system design, including knowledge of web applications, Kubernetes, Dockers, Linux, and Windows environments, supporting customized developments and implementations.

You will be responsible for deploying integration solutions based on IBM Hybrid Cloud approach, transforming business processes, and serving as a technical leader among business partners, technical teams, and project stakeholders.

Required technical and professional expertise

• In-depth knowledge of IAM domain, technologies, and best practices
• Expertise in deploying and managing IBM Verify solutions
• Strong understanding of security protocols, authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms
• Experience with integration of IBM Verify with various applications and systems
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Development and/or systems engineering experience
• Technical support or client-facing consulting experience, preferably in mission-critical environments
• Technical leadership in architecture, design, development, and team management
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration
• Scripting skills
• Experience deploying code in high-availability environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, MS Azure
• Experience configuring VMware environments
• Strong knowledge of directory services like LDAP and Active Directory
• Understanding of security best practices
• Leadership skills are a plus

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Installation, configuration, and administration of IBM Verify tools
• Experience with IAM security domain
• Knowledge of patching and upgrades on IBM Verify
• Migration experience from on-premise IBM Verify to SaaS
• Application integration with IBM Verify
• Infrastructure design or solution architecture skills
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Dockers
• Best practices for secure backups and restores
• Experience in creating statements of work (SOW)
