Job summary

Trail Appliances Ltd. is seeking Delivery Assistants to join our team and bring exceptional service from the point of sale to customers’ homes. This role involves delivering and installing our products, working on the road with a partner, and using dispatch software to manage deliveries.

The ideal candidate is safety-minded, able to lift heavy items, and available to work Saturdays. We offer a dynamic, customer-focused environment with room for growth and career development.

Qualifications

• Must be able to greet customers professionally and explain the delivery process.
• Able to safely handle and install a range of products in customers' homes; heavy work.
• Willingness to learn new skills and product handling techniques (we will teach washer/dryer installation).
• Physical ability to lift over 100 lbs and move large items regularly.

Compensation:

• Earn up to $25.58/hour (including a $2.43/hour bonus) for candidates with relevant experience
• Starting wage: $23.83/hour (including a $1.83/hour bonus)
• Guaranteed annual wage progression

As a Delivery Assistant, you will

• Greet and explain the delivery process to each of our customers in a professional manner.
• Safely handle and install our unique range of products into our customers’ homes. This is heavy work, but hey, you essentially get paid to work out!
• Work daily with a trained delivery partner (Who knows, could be the start of a new friendship.)
• Utilize state of the art dispatch software to complete the delivery process on company provided devices.

To be successful in this role, you should have

• A strong appreciation for personal safety and that of others.
• Must be available to work Saturdays.
• A willingness to learn new skills and product handling techniques (We will teach you how to install a washer and dryer – impress your friends and family).
• Physical ability to consistently lift over a 100 lbs. and move large, heavy and bulky items (Again, throw your gym membership away – you’ll be lifting refrigerators in no time).
• Great people skills and an ability to wow our customers.

Work Environment

• On the road, customer’s home, and warehouse
• Scheduled 5 days a week from Tuesday to Saturday 7 am start until 3:30pm (Occasional overtime as required)
