Job description

A career in our Deals Strategy practice, within Deals Transaction Services, will provide you the opportunity to help organizations realize the potential of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital markets. We assist leading companies in originating, creating, executing, and realizing value from deals. Using data-driven insights, we guide our clients to maximize value and navigate accounting and financial reporting challenges associated with business combinations. As part of the team, you'll develop roadmaps for economic objectives, identify necessary professionals, and consider financial reporting implications.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of:

As a Delivering Deal Value Manager, you’ll work with a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Integration strategy and execution
• Deal transaction execution
• Due diligence – stand-alone costs, carve-out
• Synergy review and planning, including cost optimization and business transformation
• Carve-out and separation execution

During transactions, the DDV team quickly understands the target/client business to identify operational issues, synergies, risks, and upsides.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve:

• Experience providing strategic advice to senior management, demonstrating extensive knowledge of Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures, including pre-deal due diligence, integration and separation planning, synergy and cost savings analysis, and post-close transformation
• Experience managing large, multi-functional programs with multiple senior stakeholders to achieve deal objectives
• Knowledge of functional areas such as IT, HR, Finance, Operations/Supply Chain, and Sales & Marketing
• Ability to develop and manage strategic client relationships, delivering high-quality work across multiple projects
• Trusted advisor capabilities at the highest client levels, especially regarding integrations and separations
• Strong analytical skills for complex data analysis
• Leadership in business development and pursuit activities
• Commitment to diversity, coaching, and inclusive team development
• Willingness to travel within Canada and internationally
