Deli Kitchen Clerk - Salad Bar (Full Time)

Location: Windsor

Position Summary

As a Deli Kitchen Clerk, you focus on upholding the highest standards of food quality produced by the Deli Kitchen, supporting the overall goals and success of daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complete prep work for various Deli areas, including Panini/Sandwich Prep, Packer, Prep Cook, and Salad Bar Production.
  • Follow and complete daily production sheets.
  • Prepare products according to Company recipes and specifications.
  • Wash, soak, cut, peel, and chop ingredients manually or with machines.
  • Package, weigh, and label products, using Cry-O-Vac (ROP) when appropriate.
  • Maintain food safety by checking and recording temperatures.
  • Practice FIFO to minimize spoilage and waste.
  • Organize and stock workstation supplies.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
  • Operate kitchen equipment like stoves, fryers, ovens.
  • Answer phones courteously and promptly.
  • Follow safety, sanitation, and work procedures; report hazards immediately.
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
  • Attend scheduled shifts, trainings, and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Basic knowledge of Oliver’s recipes and cooking skills.
  • Proper food handling and safety knowledge.
  • Team player with ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and prioritize tasks.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Conversational English; bilingual preferred.
Education, Certificates, Licenses
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Food Handlers Certificate (e.g., ServSafe).
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Work around food allergens and ingredients.
  • Frequently lift up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach during shifts.
  • Work in extreme temperatures and wet/dry conditions.
  • Use ladders or step stools as needed.
  • Handle chemicals and operate tools and equipment safely.
  • Wear non-slip shoes.
