South Country Co-op is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to join our Northlands Food Store team in Medicine Hat, AB. You will prepare deli items, maintain freshness, and ensure cleanliness while delivering exceptional customer service.

Reporting to the Deli Manager, you will help with merchandising, inventory, and member education, contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 15 years of age and completed Grade 9.
• Previous deli or retail experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of deli products and preparation techniques preferred.
• Physically able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs (22.5 kg) and perform daily tasks such as standing, bending, and shelving.
• Comfortable working in temperature-controlled environments (coolers, freezers).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, initiative, and professionalism.
• Positive attitude and commitment to learning.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to new technologies.
• Effective in fast-paced, changing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to treat others with respect, tact, and diplomacy.

Position Summary

South Country Co-op is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join our team at the Northlands Food Store in Medicine Hat, AB. If you’re passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you!

Reporting to the Deli Manager, this position is responsible for preparing a variety of deli foods: including meats, salads, pizzas, and sandwiches—while delivering an exceptional customer service experience. The Deli Clerk also contributes to maintaining product freshness, proper merchandising, and ensuring cleanliness and food safety in the department.

Work Schedule

This position requires full availability, including days, evenings, and weekends.
