Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Deli Clerk to join our Edmonton store. You will deliver exceptional customer service, process deli orders, and maintain a clean, safe working area. Responsibilities include inventory control, merchandising, training junior staff, and adhering to food safety protocols as part of daily operations.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensure accuracy, promote products, and support store sales goals while upholding company standards.

• Provide customer service to meet customer needs
• Keep work area clean and presentable
• Process customer deli orders
• Perform program execution and merchandising of product
• Handle and prepare deli products
• Increase store sales by actively promoting products
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures as required
• Process department shrink
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment as per Company requirements
• Other duties as required
