Job summary

Walmart Scarborough is seeking a Deli/Stock Associate to support the deli, bakery and general merchandise areas. You will zone the department, rotate stock, ensure accurate signage and pricing, and maintain cold chain standards, thermometer calibrations, and proper food handling practices.

You will also take deli orders, prepare hot foods, rotisserie chicken, and assemble bakery items while upholding store policies and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.40.
