Job summary

You will handle deli and bakery prep, rotate stock, and ensure food safety standards are followed from cold storage to display. The position offers engaging team work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and products are in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Follows cold chain standards, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, and sell-by dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; prepares hot food merchandise and provides requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders using utensils; rotisserie chicken; and fills prepared side dishes for display placement.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by thawing and baking to ensure quality and appearance of bakery items (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, rolls).
• Follows ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
