Responsibilities

• Zone the deli department and maintain its cleanliness.
• Rotate stock and check for expired products.
• Ensure merchandise is signed and priced correctly.

• Prepare deli orders, slice and portion meat and cheese, and assist customers with requests.
• Assist front-end staff with price checks as needed.
• Prepare salads and side dishes and operate standard deli equipment.
• Maintain a neat, organized work area free of debris.

What You'll Do...

• Zones the department.
• Rotates stock and checking for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slicing and preparing merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and providing requested assistance.
• Provides assistance to the front end Associates with price checks.
• Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers ,stackers, and other utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and filling prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.
• Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.05.
