Job summary

Walmart Canada in Fort Saskatchewan is hiring a Deli Associate. In this role you will provide friendly customer service, maintain the deli area, and assist with stocking and product display to ensure a clean, inviting department.

You will rotate stock, monitor dates, and help with slicing and preparing deli items while following food safety standards and company policies. This position starts at a minimum hourly rate and offers learning opportunities in retail operations.

• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to cold chain standards, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and food handling.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slicing and preparing merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and providing requested assistance.
• Provides assistance to the front end Associates with price checks.
• Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and filling prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.
• Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
