Job summary

Longo's in Canada is seeking a Deli Assistant Department Manager - Full Time to lead the Deli team and support daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will mentor team members, participate in regular meetings, and ensure high standards of product knowledge and service.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, managing inventory, merchandising, and resolving issues with urgency while upholding health and safety and loss prevention policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year deli department experience and solid product knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with team and customers.
• Ability to lead, coach, motivate and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.

Position: Deli Assistant Department Manager - Full Time

This is your opportunity to advance your career in a leadership role. As the Assistant Deli Department Manager, you will assist the Deli Manager to ensure that the department is prepared for daily operations.

• Minimum of 1-year experience in a deli department with a solid understanding of product knowledge

• Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems
• Ownership to resolve issues with a sense of urgency
• Effective communication and listening skills
• Strong creativity skills and ability to create eye catching displays

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a store retail environment
• Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends
• Travel is required to support off-site events
