Job summary

Provincial Homecare in St. John's is seeking a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our casual, travel-friendly team.

You will provide delegation nursing and oversee home support staff in various settings. You will delegate nursing duties, including medication administration, insulin administration, catheter care, ostomy care, and Hoyer lift use, under the direction of Senior Management.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland & Labrador or College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland & Labrador.
• Experience in long term care, community health, or hospital settings.
• Training will be provided to those with no experience in home care.

Responsibilities

• Delegate nursing duties to home support staff, including teaching nursing tasks.
• Perform nursing functions such as medication and insulin administration, catheter and ostomy care, and use of Hoyer lifts.
• Work with Senior Management and travel as required.

We are currently recruiting for an RN or LPN to join our team in St. John's! We are looking for someone to work casually, as needed, for Delegations. This position would require some travel.

Job Summary

Under the direction of Senior Management, the Agency Nurse is responsible for performing nursing functions and delegations for required clients and home support workers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Delegation Nursing duties are primarily teaching and delegating nursing functions to home support staff as it relates to a variety of nursing functions, such as, medication administration, insulin administration, catheter care, ostomy care, Hoyer lift use and other nursing related functions.

Qualifications

Clear Code of Conduct

Must be registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland & Labrador or College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland & Labrador

Experience

Relevant healthcare experience working in long term care, community health, or hospital settings

Experience with computers would be considered an asset

Previous home support industry experience would be considered an asset
