Business Development Bank of Canada seeks a senior BI and Defence Intelligence lead to build and manage analytics assets supporting sector strategy and decision-making. You will transform complex data into actionable insights guiding investment and business development, while advancing governance and data quality across platforms.

The role requires expert analytics, extensive BI experience, and bilingual communication in English and French.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business Intelligence Analytics, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in BI, Operational Analysis, Advanced Analytics or related analytical fields.
• Experience leading complex analytical initiatives from problem definition through methodology design, validation and recommendation delivery.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (incl. VBA), SQL, Power BI, PowerPoint; Data modelling; DAX; Data quality management.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance Defence Supply Chain intelligence assets, including platform databases and dashboards.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models, reporting frameworks, semantic models, and Power BI dashboards.
• Apply advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify industry trends and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with multiple functions to align methodologies and maximize analytical value.
• Present complex findings to senior leaders with concise, executive-ready materials.
