Role Overview

This position is based in Montreal and involves delivering complex solutions across multi-domain operations (air, land, maritime, space, and cyber) in collaboration with regional partners. Reporting to the Portfolio Leader, the Project Manager will oversee projects in over 60 countries, working closely with government and customer stakeholders to leverage CAE’s capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the execution of multiple projects from initiation to completion independently.
  2. Oversee financial and operational resources to ensure project profitability.
  3. Develop and implement comprehensive project management plans for complex projects.
  4. Lead and coordinate matrix teams on a daily basis.
  5. Contribute to proposal writing for project management components.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including resourcing, scheduling, and subcontracting.
  • Apply organizational project management practices and share best practices with colleagues.
  • Negotiate subcontract terms and workshare agreements.
  • Address schedule issues by reprioritizing activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison with customers, including negotiations and securing acceptance.
  • Maintain relationships and communications with stakeholders, representing the voice of the customer.
  • Support technical, cost, and schedule aspects of proposals.
  • Implement project work breakdown structures.
  • Identify opportunities for scope extensions or financial improvements.
  • Participate in organizational initiatives aligned with your career interests.
Candidate Profile
  • University degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field; non-technical degrees may be considered.
  • At least 8 years of high-tech experience, including 4+ years as a Project Manager.
  • Eligibility for Canada’s Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and possibly ITAR requirements.
  • PMP certification or commitment to obtain within 12 months.
  • Availability to work across different time zones and travel internationally (~25%).
  • Bilingual in French and English.
