Job summary

Job description

Our government defence client is requesting a Logistics Consultant to provide expert advice and staff assistance in logistic concept development, codify best practices, and develop an understanding in a Contested Congested Logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to understand current practices, challenges, and emerging trends related to Operational Support (OS) in a non-permissive operating environment.
  2. Draft Doctrine Notes for changes to allow clarity for operations. This academic work will enable the organization to integrate requirements and enhance the coherence of capability development efforts.
  3. Explore logistics residual authorities as a new concept.
  4. Assist in the preparation, development, and coordination of capability planning and development.
  5. Make recommendations and provide advice for improvements, and assist in developing solutions and implementing recommendations.
  6. Analyze stakeholders' business objectives and recommend and develop solutions to address them.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum six (6) years of experience in corporate logistics management or logistic business practices at a senior level (e.g., Product Manager or Field-Grade Officer).
  • Experience developing and implementing operational-level doctrine, concepts, capabilities, and/or procedures related to Operational Support (OS) or Command Support (CS).
  • Experience with Global Supply Chain management and its relation to military operations.
  • Experience participating in or running Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) drills or wargaming.
  • French language skills are an asset.
