Job summary

Commissionaires NL in Deer Lake seeks a Site Security Manager to oversee daily operations at Deer Lake Airport, ensuring security, safety, and regulatory compliance for staff and clients.

You will coordinate with the Client and Account Manager, monitor CCTV, manage schedules, and lead a security team on site. The role requires leadership, vigilance, and rapid response to incidents, with emphasis on training, equipment maintenance, and OH&S adherence.

Qualifications

• Police Certificate of Conduct
• Pervious security experience considered an asset
• Pervious supervisory or management experience required

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Client and Account Manager on a regular basis
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the site
• Submit payroll and scheduling
• Train and motivate staff with performance reviews
• Maintain personnel files and monitor certifications
• Monitor security cameras and oversee intrusions systems
• Ensure airport logbook is updated and patrols/reports are reviewed
• Prepare incident, security breach and client reports
• Respond to after-hours needs and provide staff support
• Perform other duties as required

Commissionaires’ NL provides 24/7 security services at Deer Lake Airport . We are currently seeking a site security manager to manage the daily operations of the site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Constant liaison with Client and Account Manager
• Manage the day to day operations of the site
• Submitting payroll and scheduling
• Manage and train Commissionaires staff including motivating, directing, and evaluating all direct reports through formal & informal feedback discussions, performance management and performance reviews
• Keeping up to date on personnel files and noting expiry dates on First Aid and Security Clearances
• Monitor Security Cameras
• Ensuring that the airport Logbook is regularly updated
• Reviewing all patrols and daily inspection reports, security reports and flight arrival/departures
• Prepare Incident Reports, Security Breach reports and documentation for the client
• Managing Intrusion Alarm systems
• Report the OH&S monthly site inspection forms.
• Be available after hours to provide support to staff if needed
• Other duties as required

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Be professional & Reliable
• Police Certificate of Conduct
• Must have Computer skills
• Pervious security experience considered an asset
• Pervious supervisory or management experience required

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

The selected candidate will be professional and detail driven individual with a strong work ethic and “can do” attitude. Both physical and mental fitness is required. This often involves working in all types of environment conditions at varying times throughout the day or night.
