Job description

Join our mission to help high-performing women thrive at home!

Are you someone who feels a deep sense of satisfaction when you help someone let go of what no longer serves them?

Do you intuitively understand that clutter isn't just physical—it's emotional, and that letting go can be transformational?

Maybe you're the go-to friend who helps people purge their closets, set up donation bins, and clear out storage rooms “just for fun.”

If you love coaching others through big decisions, find peace in simplicity, and believe a decluttered space creates a serene mind—we would love to meet you!

Please apply below and turn your natural talent for decluttering into meaningful, transformational work.

Hi, we’re Vanessa & Landon Kennedy, co-founders of Organization Magic! We are Calgary-based, woman-owned, and family operated.

Our purpose is to create inspiring living spaces that empower high-performing women to thrive—both at work and at home.

What is the OM Dream Team?

At Organization Magic, every team member plays a vital part in delivering extraordinary results.

When you join us, you're not just stepping into a single role—you’re becoming part of a high-performing, purpose-driven Dream Team that collaborates to transform homes and lives.

Together as a team, we can accomplish anything a home organization project requires:

  • Organization Project Lead: A visionary organizer who communicates clear expectations to align each project with the client’s goals. This role blends project management, design intuition, and team coordination to deliver a seamless, satisfying experience from start to finish. As the primary liaison, the Organization Project Lead cultivates trust, communicates consistently, and ensures our clients feel supported and understood—before, during, and after every project.
  • Executive Home Organizer: A systems-minded, aesthetically gifted individual who creates intuitive flow and visual harmony in every space, blending practicality with beauty to support a client's high-performance lifestyle.
  • Dedicated Decluttering Coach: A psychology-savvy people-person who expertly guides clients towards letting go of what no longer serves them with compassion and insight.
  • Home Projects Technician: A hands-on problem-solver who brings form to function. From assembling furniture and installing gallery walls to mounting TVs and implementing custom solutions, they ensure each space is not only beautiful—but built to last.

We work as a unit—sharing responsibility, leaning on each other’s strengths, and celebrating every transformation together.

Is This Your Dream Job?

As a Dedicated Decluttering Coach , you will play a key role in delivering extraordinary results for our clients during Home Organization Projects. You will guide clients through letting go of items that no longer serve them, coach them through emotional decision-making, and help create clarity, lightness, and freedom in their homes.

This role starts with a Paid Practice Project to ensure a mutual fit.

Title: Dedicated Decluttering Coach

Compensation: $30 per hour with potential to grow into an Organization Project Lead or Client Experience Manager role

Type: Project-Based Contract, with potential to transition into Full-Time Employment

  • Onboarding: In-person at the OM Studio
  • Home Organization Projects: In-person at clients’ homes
Our Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who has a gift for gently guiding others through the art of letting go.

Empathetic & Non-Judgmental: You can hold space for others’ stories and emotions without pressure or shame.

Intuitively Aware: You have a natural understanding that people collect and hold onto things for emotional, psychological, and even survival-based reasons—and you approach each item with curiosity, not criticism.

Emotionally Insightful: You understand the mental and emotional weight behind clutter and can gently guide clients through the letting-go process with compassion and care

Natural Coach: You know how to ask the right questions to help others make decisions and move forward.

Highly Organized: You instinctively sort, group, and categorize as you go.

Flexible & Proactive: You're quick on your feet and can adapt to ever-changing environments.

Tech-Savvy: Familiar with Google Workspace: Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets (We use highly intuitive tech tools! If you’re not totally familiar with some of these, no worries, as long as you’re willing to learn!)

Detail-Oriented: You track what’s been sorted, labeled, and donated with precision.

Physically Capable: Home organization projects can be demanding, requiring lifting, moving, and long hours on your feet. (We often log 15,000+ steps in a day, carrying heavy boxes up and down multiple flights of stairs!)

Client-Focused: You love making a positive impact and take pride in service that feels luxurious, supportive, and life-changing.

Resourceful & Autonomous: You take initiative, problem-solve, and always look for how you can add value.

You Were Made for This Work If…

You’re deeply attuned to people’s emotions —you can sense when someone is overwhelmed, even if they’re smiling through it.

You instinctively put others at ease —clients open up to you quickly because they feel safe, seen, and never judged.

You’re fascinated by why people keep what they keep —you understand that every item tells a story, and you’re curious about the meaning behind the mess.

You speak the language of compassion —you know how to validate someone’s experience while still gently guiding them forward.

You’re calm in chaos —when the room is full and the emotions are high, you remain grounded and focused.

You know how to pace the process —you recognize when to push, when to pause, and when someone just needs a moment.

You love helping people let go —you see how releasing clutter can transform not just a space, but a life.

You celebrate every win —whether it’s a single drawer or a whole garage, you know the emotional courage it took to get there. (High-fives and hugs are a must!)

You trust the timing —decluttering is deeply personal, and you honor each client’s journey without rushing or forcing change.

You’ve always had a “coach” inside you —and people have turned to you for perspective, support, and steady encouragement your whole life.
