Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking an Associate, Execution in the Ontario National Client Group to contribute to complex senior debt lending mandates, including bilateral and syndicated deals.

You will support portfolio management, perform high‑quality credit analysis and deal structuring, model financials, and work with Directors and banking partners on due diligence to grow important client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Corporate or upper mid-market Commercial Banking or related field.
• Strong knowledge of credit underwriting, loan structuring (bilateral/syndicated transactions) and financial statement analysis.
• English language proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of the Ontario National Client Group credit portfolio and assist with the execution of new lending opportunities/mandates.
• Perform high-quality credit analysis and deal structuring activities in line with Bank standards.
• Conduct transaction financial modeling and Borrower Risk Ratings for existing and prospective clients.
• Independently manage an assigned portfolio of Annual Reviews and assist Directors on renewals.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, private equity sponsors and internal banking partners on due diligence for new opportunities.
• Coordinate with Associates and Client Account Representatives on credit submission requests and maintain files.
