A career within Deals, Capital Projects and Infrastructure, part of our Real Assets group, will provide you with the opportunity to deliver innovative deal solutions to our clients, providing advice and support, from initiation through to completion. The Capital Project Services team advises governments and businesses in the delivery of complex capital projects and programs. As part of our team, you'll provide expertise to clients on the design and delivery of transformative projects, program and commercial management approaches, and optimization of capital programs while ensuring project success, within constrained budgets or through challenging situations. You will work across many sectors providing services across the project life cycle from project feasibility, governance, infrastructure and procurement, construction readiness, project execution and readiness for operations.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As a Deals, Capital Projects and Infrastructure, Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in reviewing project schedules and budgets, forecasting of project performance and performing project risk assessments.
  • Perform independent validation of project data.
  • Participate in the development of project management processes.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of project controls.
  • Participate in writing reports and presentations.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and development of opportunities for the CP&I practice.
  • Perform site visits and inspections.
  • May require work on site, including travel to remote locations.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • An openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.
  • Extensive experience working for an engineering consulting, project management, or construction management firm.
  • Performed project management activities associated with engineering/design, construction, and commissioning, such as managing cost estimates, project schedules and project risks.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated working experience on complex capital projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or commerce, MBA or similar degree would be an asset.
  • Interest in obtaining a professional designation (e.g. PMP, P. Eng., CFA, etc.) would be an asset.
  • Experience with construction claims a plus.
  • Working knowledge of French would be an asset.
  • Willingness to travel when required.

The salary range* for this position is $58,400.00 - $97,500.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.

* Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region. Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location.
