We are accepting applications for the Secondary Occasional Roster for the 2024/2025 school year. The Durham District School Board (DDSB) is responsible for public education in the rural settings of Uxbridge, Brock, and Scugog Townships and the urban settings of Ajax, Whitby, Pickering, and Oshawa.
The Board employs 7,000 teaching and educational services staff. With 134 elementary and secondary schools and learning centers, the Board accommodates more than 75,000 day students and thousands more who take advantage of a wide variety of continuing education and adult credit courses.

Occasional teachers accept assignments within our board that could last one day to several days in multiple schools. Our Occasional teachers are essential to ensure learning continues in the classrooms when staff are absent.
